Ramoro Pinot Grigio
Terre Di Chieti, Chieti, Abruzzi, Italy

This is a tasty orange wine from Italy, made with organic Pinot Grigio grapes.
Orange in color with a pink hue.
Full bodied with medium acidity
Dry on the palate with mild complexity.
Showing peaches, citrus, lemons, yellow apples and spices.
Not my usual drinker, but I really enjoyed it. Easy drinking and better when not too cold.
88 points.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
$22.

As a colleague of mine once said, "this is high on the yummy factor." Skin contact Pinot Grigio that pours pink like a rose. Nose is phenomenal, with fresh watermelon, lychee, rose.. smells like Aperol, no joke. Palate is so soft with just enough acid to be a new summertime porch pounder.
Man this is good.. this is my style of wine.. and at under $20 per bottle? I'll say this as professionally as possible - holy crap the QPR.

Orange or dry rose style wine. Dusty rose in color, butter, raspberry and herbal, anise notes in nose. Cherry, raspberry lemonade and malic flavors, moderate skin astringency. Match with poultry, white fish but great aperitif for those that skew dry in their taste preferences

Lunaria – “Ramoro” Pinot Grigio 2024 (Ramato Style)
Abruzzo – Italy 🇮🇹 | Biodynamic (Demeter), Organic, Vegan-Friendly
Overview
Part of Lunaria’s Ancestrale lineup, “Ramoro” is a Ramato-style Pinot Grigio, vinified with extended skin contact, spontaneous fermentation, and no filtration. This ancient Friulian technique gives the wine a copper hue (“ramato”) rather than the usual pale white. (Educational note: Pinot Grigio’s pinkish-gray skins can yield this copper tint when macerated, producing a style between white and orange wine.)
Aromas & Flavors
Tropical fruit leads (mango, guava, and pineapple) alongside peach, citrus peel, and light floral tones. Subtle nutty and herbal notes emerge from skin contact.
Mouthfeel
Light-bodied, crisp, and refreshing, with lively acidity. Textured yet easy-drinking, finishing sharp, fruity, and clean.
Food Pairings
Extremely versatile: pairs with seafood, light pasta dishes, grilled vegetables, fresh cheeses, or simply as an aperitif.
Verdict
A deliciously fresh and innovative take on Pinot Grigio — sharp tropical fruit, bright acidity, and copper-toned charm. The 2024 “Ramoro” is proof that everyday grapes can surprise when treated with ancestral methods. 🍷
Did You Know?
“Ramato” means copper-colored in Italian. This style was traditional in Friuli, but Lunaria revives it with a biodynamic and natural winemaking approach.
Hidden Gem 💎
A Ramato Pinot Grigio made biodynamic, unfiltered, and ancestral in style — Lunaria’s 2024 “Ramoro” is both ancient and modern, an exciting reinterpretation of a familiar grape.

Nice pink-orange color. Tart and juicy. Decent balance. Offers more than plain old Grigio’s…
