Solid but nothing special. Oak and vanilla notes, some red fruit with plum in the nose. It's not bad for a $15 bottle, but overall just ok.

[Tasted 8/9/16] IMHO this waaaaaaaaay overachieves @ COSTCO's $8.99. Initially purchased for immediate consumption [& one can certainly utilize it thus], I hope NOT to touch my remaining 2 bottles 'til at least 2018, as, IMHO, this currently stalwart offering is likely to get even better. [And to think COSTCO had no hype whatsoever on this.] :(

Enjoyed at Chris's retirement party - a great get together with our family. This wine was perfect for the catered buffet of steak, chicken, and roasted vegetables.

Jan 2nd, 2015Very easy to drink. Give it time to air out or else it's relatively tarty. It's smooth; full of rich berries and hints of grass/soil. Has a zest of lemon at the end.

Straight fruit juice. Absolutely none of the smokiness or minerality I love in a good Malbec.
