Luigi Tecce
Satyricon Irpinia Campi Taurasini Aglianico

Tecce is one of my favorite Italian producers. The 2022 Satyricon doesn’t disappoint. Opens up after 3-4 hours. Dried flowers, cherries and charcoal on the nose. Tart cranberries with blackberries. Sharp minerality, mouth-puckering tannins, astringent, dusty and savory long finish. Very long. Super dry. Young. 14.5% abv, but it doesn’t feel overly full or heavy. I remember the 2020 being darker and more fruit-forward, but I could be wrong.
