Still my favourite Ripasso by far. Slight bit of oak on what is an exceptionally smooth and flavorful wine out of Valpolicella.

Jan 16th, 2016Like a very light baby Amarone. Dried fruit like raisins and prunes steeped in grappa on the nose. Cherry, dried fruit, and some complexity in the mouth. Nice, but I've had better Valpolicella Ripasso's than this. Maybe I've had too many Amarone's and Ripasso's when I was in Italy to appreciate this more.
