Lucien Albrecht
Tradition Alsace Pinot Gris
The history of the Albrecht family as winegrowers can be traced back to 1425 with Romanu Albrecht, who was established in the town of Thann. Fresh pale yellow with fruit and floral citrus aromas. On the palate sweet stone fruits with lemon citrus flavors, delicate mineral spice, vivid acidity on dry medium finish. Nice!

Youthful. A little tight on the nose but definitely a nuttiness to it. Clean array of stone fruit a great acidity. Clean finish. Refreshing Alsatian Pinot Gris.

Sep 4th, 2022**edit: second tasting: pairing with Red Hawk cheese, roasted garlic, and artisan sourdough bread and it works. The sweet isn't overpowering and plays well with the fatty, rich food.
Flavor and texture reminds us of a sherry
Honey! Too sweet. Like mead. Unexpected for abv at 13.5%.
Not a fan. Maybe it was better when it was younger? Was it mistreated?
The 1 to 2 year old Albrecht pinot blanc was outstanding.

This wine has a lemon hue with noticeable tearing.

The nose offers stone fruit, such as peach and apricot, with some green and yellow apple, star fruit, wet stone, chalk, and delicate honeysuckle, beeswax and honeyed notes.

.
On the palate, it’s slightly off-dry, medium-plus bodied, with medium-plus acidity. ABV 13.5%. Vintage 2015. Lingering honeyed notes on the palate.

Easygoing and very drinkable. Nice expression of an Alsatian Pinot Gris. Enjoyed it even more as it evolved with some time to breathe.
