Feb 26th, 2023Dark ruby hue. Aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, licorice, and rubber. Medium-plus body, with medium-plus tannins and acidity. Lengthy finish. Complex and balanced. 55% Merlot and 45% Sangiovese.

I’ve been waiting to try this wine for ages & after the amazing showing in 2015 vintages I’ve had from 🇮🇹 of Sassicaia, Tignanello & Saffredi I hoped this £72 bottle would be awesome to & it is 😉 Still tannic (in a good way) but it’s a great drop in the making 👍 I’d leave 5-6 years to enjoy & beyond but in 10 years it could be 💥

👄 Med body of fine dry tannin driven dark cherry w/ a cocoa cream, damson plum, raspberry, rock mineral & vanilla
🎯 Med+ dry (will ease in time) cherry plummy raspberry cocoa & vanilla tease w/ a mineral hit coming through
