Needs some air to come around, but then the nose shows a nice balance of musky gooseberry and crisp pear fruit, together with wet chalky minerality. Lots of flavor concentration in the mouth, with a big initial whack of stone which then recedes and let the fruit come through. Very crisp, with mouthwatering acids increasing as the finish recedes. Wish I had some clams casino right now!
