Dec 24th, 2021Nose has oak-ey pineapple purée, orange peel, oxidized green apple, dried white florals, orange blossom, wet river rocks and dry sandstone (go figure!).
Palate has warmed lemon slice, lemon zest, orange zest, very mineral-ey water, day old buttered popcorn, lemon pith, toasted barrel and warmed sandstone. Very nice, long finish, wanting another sip...
Decanted 3H, more time, and years appreciated. Future bottles should be 2025+.
Inaugural bottle from an OWC 6-pack my lovely wife surprised me with about a month ago, guess she really knows what I love, aside from her and the fur-kids, it's Chardonnay!
