Just what one would expect from a Domaine Gagey Louis Jadot. Not super exciting but extremely competent wine making. Nice fruits, cherry and raspberry. Still shows some of the more tannic qualities of a Nuits Saint George. Enjoyed with a pheasant boudin blanc.

2012 v. On 6/22/17. Med-dark color, cherry rim. Crisp cherry menthol on the nose, raspberry, Indian spice, still crisp aromas, no sign of age. Immediate bing cherry, extremely fresh, med tannins with light weight-lights up the taste buds, hints of wood grain. Although 5 years from harvest this wine is in its youth. I would expect 8-10 yrs from harvest this wine will be impressive. For now, 89 points but a bright future.
