This is past it’s peak, but absolutely drinkable. And not opening it within hours of possessing the bottle is a cardinal sin in my book. One of those odd finds I could not pass up! Tasted over a five hour period of time.

Uncorked and served chilled: vibrant copper color. Toasted almonds, hard aged cheese, and white truffle aromas, opulent! The pallet is full of intense nutty flavors and mead wine, the finish is equally intense.

After a couple of hours the wine beings to brighten up on the pallet; the aromas are relentless, however. Acidity is present on the mid pallet and lingering finish; red apple and orange peel fruit flavors abound.

In the latter part of the five hour mark, the flavors on the finish turn spicy: white pepperish.

A most enjoyable wine experience. Cheers.
