Loring Wine Company
Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Acid is much better integrated than 10 months ago. Still not a stereotypical RRV. Young but drinking very enjoyably.

Oct 9th, 2017This stuff is fun to drink. When it was first opened, there was a very grapey almost grape soda aroma that made me think this was going to be very sweet and candied but fortunately it wasn't. The nose started to evolve after a little bit of air and evolved into very enticing aromatics with subtle savory hints of tobacco, earth, and wet stone mineral in addition to a lot of dark fruit. The palate was full of ripe fruit with a deceptively spiced finish for having no detectable spice in the nose. Very easy to drink and the wife loved it, too. She said, "wow, do we have more of these?" Glad I got a mixed 6 pack of the AVA pinots on futures last year but maybe I should have gotten more.
