Apr 10th, 2018Library wine purchased at the tasting room. Third of three bottles tasted. Plum brown in color. Prune mint blueberry cherry fruit leather and briar notes in nose. Berry, tea, mint, orange, plum and soy flavors in mouth, cherry finish with minor seed tannins. Challenging to judge a Pinot Noir aged this long, and not enough experience at it as a wine drinker, but it proved a surprisingly decent pour and most enjoyable. Much more enjoyable than the previous bottle tasted three months earlier, bottle variation perhaps?

Jan 31st, 2018Bought at tasting room, library wine. Purple brick red with some brownish tinge at edge, consistent with age. Some apricot and fruit leather notes in nose. Soy, some berry fruitiness, briar notes and a hint of prune in mouth, well integrated, just a tad of astringency on tip of tongue. Not much bitterness in finish, past peak but still pleasant, drink now.
