When I first tried this Pinot Gris from South Australia a year or so ago it got me hooked on the varietal again! It's from Naked Wines and sells at $10-15 depending on your club status. I recently was asked about the difference between Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio and in fact it's the same grape variety! Like Shiraz/Syrah the different terms are purely to help convey the style of the wine. In my experience a Gris has more body weight and riper flavours than the leaner Grigio and both styles kick ass in the 'refreshing' stakes.

This 2015 Pinot Gris is a silver yellow colour on the eye. Scents of lime, pear, honeydew melon and an inviting freshness rise from the glass. The palate a just so darn bright and refreshing that you feel like your drinking liquid sunshine. Love ❤️

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Pale yellow colour with golden hue. Clean and crisp. Lots of citrus, green apples, toffee and flowers on the nose. More like Pinot Grigio style. Nice everyday Pinot Gris.
