Hmmmm. Well made, but not for me.

A lot of thought and planning goes into this collaboration with McPherson Cellars, I'm beyond thrilled to finally have this baby in bottle. So thrilled, it's a NoFX, crazy puppy, pizza and Texan-Rhone night. Couldn't be happier.

It doesn't have a sense of place. It was made in the winery not the vineyard. Swift has jammed it up as he usually does. This is Texas wine that isn't Texas wine. Someone who likes bright berry, and jammy over ripe wines would like it.

Their wine is definitely better than their tequila.

David Phinney knows how to make great wines. This Rhone style blend uses a number of grape varietals from Texas. Excellent nose of blue fruit leads to fantastic tastes of blueberries, oak, and nutmeg. Not distributed outside of Texas currently but Phinney's goal is to introduce Texas wines to a bigger audience. A really nice wine for about $20 a bottle.
