Smoky, toasted sesame and oak, plummy darkness with blackberry and raspberry reductions, rye bread and a chalkiness alongside a dry tobacco leaf. This is interesting stuff. Dusty cherry, graphite and cedar, lingonberry, cranberry, dark toast, cracked, black pepper, and nutmeg. Texas Tempranillo. #nowwetempranillo #texashillcountry #texastempranillo #texaswines #texaswine #texas

Sep 25th, 2017A little bitter to start. Not as mellow as other Tempranillos I've had recently. More pepper than I would expect. Quite spicy. Tastes a lot like a Syrah. Maybe it needs to breathe more.

Sep 4th, 2018Pretty damn good Tempranillo! 13.5% or so ABV, Alcohol not very noticable on the nose, Dark blood color, No rim, spicy berry, pepper, spice, med acid med tannin. Would pair well with tacos, pizza, lasagna, eggplant parmesan. Ive tried many Texas Tempranillos and this has been my favorite so far. Beats all the Wine Road Temps for sure. Dont recall the price, maybe $15? Very good. Well done Llano!

Oct 22nd, 2017Not too much bite from the tannins and a very interesting flavor that progressed as the wine sat in the decanter. One of my favorite Tempranillos that I have tasted.
