This review is for the 2007 Littorai Summa Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (not included in the available choices). I love this pinot, and it never disappoints. Medium-dark red color. The beautiful and unique Summa nose is present -sweet dark berry, menthol (some may say too much), minimal oak, and a bit of floral. The palate follows with a sweet dark cherry flavor, menthol, tea, vanilla, and forest floor. Substantial mid palate, good balance, velvet tannins, and a long finish. Ted Lemon has done a phenomenal job with this wine and it is a shame he no longer has access to these grapes. The Rivers Marie Summa Vineyard is just not the same. If you are lucky enough to have some Littorai Summa left in your collection, enjoy it while it lasts.
