Cherry Red Zinfandel Blend

Funky-sweet aromas. Musty with super fragrant fruits and elegant spice notes. Exotic zinfandel flavors—  Hibiscus, red berries, prickly pear, red zinger tea, some beef jerky.. High acid but sweet on the palate. Like a very smooth and agreeable, but exotically spiced CDP with its volume turned up to 11. New world polish/old world energy.

Only a touch too much RS takes this down a notch from a 9.5 or more for me.

Always a fan favorite. Deep Zin base, with berry bursts of GS fruit. Carignan adds a delicate hint of spice and balances out the whole package. Elegant.

As smooth as you'd think it would be. 😊

Nice fruit bomb to go with a ribeye! High alcohol but who cares?

very nicely balanced with the red fruit up front. opened up more after an hour. Would be perfect with a grilled steak but went fine with our pizza also.

Crazy extraction, insanely balanced, beautiful acidity. Dark garnet I color, black and blue fruit. Black tea tannin, silky smooth, harmoniously integrated oak. Black pepper and licorice on the cliffhanger like long finish.

I love this wine. However, aged Zin is an acquired taste. The big fruit notes are waining which is the thing that draws on to Zin. There’s still some structure but not the experience that made me love this wine to begin with.

I love this juice. It tastes like a cherry blossom, and the irony is it has nothing to do with he name. It’s rich and succulent and explodes with cherry flavor.

A delicate wine - the Zin comes through but is balanced by the other grapes in the blend. Grows on you - probably better with 1-2 hr decant.

@Linne Calodo just makes awesome juice. Wind blown cherry trees, lead to a palate driven by......Deep rich Cherries. Black pepper notes on the finish. All around outstanding Zin dominant blend. It’s called Cherry Red but ironically it has zero to do with the flavor of the wine.
