Great body for a Pinot. Very smooth with bold flavors. Nice surprise at Haig Point, Daufuskie Island.

Leather smell. Cooked ripe cherries, vanilla, slight pepper finish. Very drinkable, borders on overripe but still good. J liked more when first opened vs 1 hr later.

2014 opened July 17. Unripe cherries on the bouquet. Not much fruit on the front of the palate. Instead the entire tannic profile is tart, with a bitter aftertaste on the back of the palate. I let it breathe for an hour, and it turned into a flat glass of nothing. Two Buck Chuck would probably be a better buy. The trouble with trying a conventional bottling like this one, is that this wine is so poor that I doubt their high-end versions will be any better. So I'm not inclined to try anymore vintages from this winery.
