Great body for a Pinot. Very smooth with bold flavors. Nice surprise at Haig Point, Daufuskie Island.

Jun 27th, 2020Leather smell. Cooked ripe cherries, vanilla, slight pepper finish. Very drinkable, borders on overripe but still good. J liked more when first opened vs 1 hr later.

May 29th, 20202014 opened July 17. Unripe cherries on the bouquet. Not much fruit on the front of the palate. Instead the entire tannic profile is tart, with a bitter aftertaste on the back of the palate. I let it breathe for an hour, and it turned into a flat glass of nothing. Two Buck Chuck would probably be a better buy. The trouble with trying a conventional bottling like this one, is that this wine is so poor that I doubt their high-end versions will be any better. So I'm not inclined to try anymore vintages from this winery.
