Deep ruby, med plus intensity on the nose, floral citrus herbal tea, violet, black cherry, red plum, fig, tree bark, licorice and chocolate powder. Bone dry, med acidity, med plus tannin. A bit bitter finish. More ripe fruit notes on the nose but finished super dry on the palate. 88% pinotage, 9 % cinsault, 3% Syrah.

Great bouquet upon initial opening. Cherries and raspberries mingled together!

The Paarl Pinotage is visually deeper, with a medium ruby hue and quite different aromas and flavors. It offers notes of roasted game, tar, chocolate, prune, black cherry, red plum, and prune.  It has an overall riper and more robust character, perhaps in part due to Pinotage’s inherent qualities. Alcohol is 13% ABV which is similarly reserved for this grape. 🙌🏻

プラム、ベリー感が全面に強い。後からわずかにオーク系の芳香とスミレの様な香りを感じる。
コーヒー系ではなく、ベリー感の強い味わい。好みが分かれそう。

Lots of black fruits on the nose, blackberries and cherries. More fruit on the palate with a subtle smokiness, big body, lingering tannins

Kind of like strawberries and mint with a bit of twig and sugar. Acidity comes out more in a wide mouth glass. Definitely recommend drinking in a Bordeaux type glass, otherwise much of the character is muddled
