Color: rich, deep purple.
Nose: cherries soaked in spirit, withered flowers, licorice, graphite and rosewood.
Taste: what a BIG wine! Rich, powerful, thick and "chewable", pleasant tannins, sweet and round.
A new favorite for me!
NOTE: I gave 5 stars to this wine not only because I loved it, but because the ratio quality / price is excellent!

Peppery, herbal, big. Reminds of a good non Rhône Syrah. Exiting wine. Should improve over the years.

100 % Maggliocco, a Calabrian varietal. Aromas of dark fruits, chocolate and licorice. Flavors of blackberries and dark plums, along with black pepper, tobacco, chocolate and licorice. Smooth tannins and zesty acidity. Exquisite wine.

Really fascinating selection - first exposure to this varietal. Nutty oak, mocha, dark chocolate, ripe dark fruits, and licorice on the nose. On the palate espresso, blackberries, plum & anise tart, dried garden herbs, with a suave mouthfeel.
