Coteaux du Languedoc Picpoul-de-Pinet

Crisp med+ acidity and some florals on the nose / medium frame / lemon, stone on palate (which leans quite neutral) - would recommend almost only as an aperitif

A top value lesser known varietal from France. Worth a try!

Tasted in 2014: Stone fruit, wet stone. Pronounced minerality compared to other Picpoul but still fairly fruity.

Crisp, not tart, refreshing

Lime, tangerine & flinty minerals. A pleasant little #picpoul

Much better on the empty-stomach palette. The notes on this wine that came with the glass are, "Lemon and Sea Brine. Bright aromas are Meyer lemon zest, Bartlett pear, nectarine, fresh dough and sea brine lead to a crisp, citrusy palate of lemon, white grapefruit, and minerals in this refreshing white from the south of France." I guess I wanted a refreshing glass.

Lovely! Crisp. Mineral. Tart. Lemon. A bright yellow and buttery nose. Delicious

Great white. Reminiscent of a Greek wine. Strong grape.
