Fruit forward (plums and black currant) right out of the bottle. Fruit aromas and flavors intensify in the glass. Blend of Carignan and Syrah (primarily). Hints of dried herbs, black licorice and cola. Earthy and rich. A powerhouse red. Probably on the down side of the hill, as it is a bit out of balance, but still enjoyable. Revisited in January 2020. More oxidized than the last time I tasted it. Now outside of its life cycle.
