Halos de Jupiter Blanc – white blend – 2024
Côtes du Rhône AOP – Southern Rhône, France 🇫🇷

Overview
A classic Southern Rhône white blend composed of 50% Grenache Blanc, 30% Roussanne, and 20% Marsanne, sourced from vineyards overlooking the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux. Crafted to highlight freshness and complexity rather than weight, this wine captures the authentic character of White Côtes du Rhône at an impressive value-driven price point.

Aromas & Flavors
White peach, ripe pear, and lemon zest open the nose, followed by subtle floral notes, almond skin, and a touch of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, layers of stone fruit, citrus oil, and gentle savory undertones unfold with balance and clarity.

Mouthfeel
Medium-bodied and smooth, with a rounded texture from Grenache Blanc and Marsanne, lifted by the freshness and structure of Roussanne. Nicely balanced acidity keeps the wine energetic and food-friendly, with a clean, satisfying finish.

Food Pairings
Grilled fish, roasted chicken, white meats, fresh goat cheese, or simple Mediterranean dishes with olive oil and herbs.

Verdict
A delicious, approachable, and expressive white Rhône blend that delivers complexity and regional character without excess. Compelling, versatile, and outstanding for the price, a strong example of what White Côtes du Rhône does best.

Nose at the moment of corkage: garrigue and even a tad of lavender or maybe violets. Nice ruby color thru the aerator but brownish purple in the glass. Not really fruity nor tannic and an easy drinker. A bit of spice, must be the Syrah in the blend. Great price

Purchased a bottle last week so we decided to go with this vintage again. Disappointed, very flat, no depth.
