spicy raspberry core with savory notes of soil, mushroom, and rocks. Changes a lot in the glass.

Nice grip for a Pinot. Not overly fruity either

Hillinger Eveline Pinot Noir 2017. Pale Ruby in the glass with light staining of the tears. Nose: medium+ notes of ripe cranberry, bubblegum or red cherry cough drops, hints of floral. Violet, maybe? and a touch of mushroom and brett. Medium flavor intensity, dry, medium+ acidity, medium- body, medium alc, medium- tannins (silty, back-of-palate bitter) Brighter fruit aromas yield to cooked elements of the same and more of the funky elements on the palate, where tertiary elements abound: smoke, forest floor, black pepper, take center stage along with some introduction of mineral/graphite. Medium+ finish. This wine presents a complex and evolving experience, well integrated acidity and flavor characteristics. The alcohol angles out a bit, but will mellow with ageing. Delicious now. Seriously. Buy two bottles and compare notes at a later date.

Earthy, bold and tasty. Solid characteristics of pinot with pretty decent tannins for a pinot. The Austrian earthiness shines through. Great accompaniment to wiener schnitzel!

Gets better with every minute open. "Talk about a ton of flavor for not a lot of wine," - Jackie Kreiner (to be Cohen). Delicate, tasty and AUSTRIAN! Ahrnold would be proud.
