Underwhelmed - 2020 was supposed to be a great year in Niagara, but I’m not seeing it here. Vanilla on the nose with a bitter, nettle finish. Maybe it was the food pairing?

I don’t remember much which maybe says more about me than the wine but maybe not!

A nice Niagara Chardonnay. Quite full, but not overly rich if that makes sense. You get a bit of sensation from the barrel fermentation but there is no apparent oak, just body. Good acid but one smidge less cohesive on the finish than I’d like. Still nice.

Ok. Nothing brilliant. Too much alcohol and a bit of petrol in the flavour. Wouldnt buy again.

Faint oak from barrel fermentation, lemon, white grapefruit, tart yellow apple, slight lees and stony. Serious minerality here. Good quality Niagara Chardonnay.

The benchmark for unoaked chard in Ontario. Pear, apple, and minerality. Length is phenomenal.
