Blanc Cabernet Franc from the Applegate Valley. An intensely savory wine that took a few hours of acclimation after a summer of brighter whites. Aromas of apple and apricot and earthy ripeness. Flavors are wonderfully complex, starting with Meyer lemon and Granny Smith apple and moving to hazelnut, walnut and finishing with tea-like bitterness that’s strange and good. A memorable wine.
