Good first impression from the nose. Dry, dark flavor, peppery spice. Reminiscent of a good amarone.

March 23, 2020. Ohlala! Love this wine. Red fruit and floral aroma about knock you over when first opened. So much going on here, all of it lovely. This will likely cellar nicely for a couple years, if you can keep from drinking it!. Ordered more. #pandemichoarding First tasted w/ KK at our informal and appropriately distanced tasting. Who knew it would be last in person time together before “stay home” order.

A bit fancier than your average CDR. Dark fruit a bit stewed. Nice elegance with some minerality and structure. // Syrah really comes out on day 2. Nice wine but it’s a little wonky
