La Réserve Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

Needs lots of air to open up. But after a proper decant… oh boy.. very elegant and perfectly balanced. Not overpowered at all but light on its feet yet long and persistent in the aftertaste. This is simply wonderful.

Wow! Top bottling from Caillou and shows it. Blackberries, currants and tar on the nose. Silky smooth with a very pleasing texture.

Peppery finish with hints of cedar - definitely could use another 5yrs at a minimum to smooth out the edges
