Vivid magenta. Pungent, mineral-tinged cherry, black raspberry, licorice and floral scents, backed by a building suggestion of vanilla. Deep and alluringly sweet, offering cherry and raspberry liqueur, lavender and mocha flavors supported by a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes impressively long and precise, with well-knit tannins and a strong echo of spice-laced red fruit. 40% new French oak. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2020)

Feb 19th, 2020Law Estates tasting tonight. My first time trying the wines. Wonderful Paso fruit with very unique and impressive winemaking.
Out of the four reds tonight, this was the most plush and fruit forward. Violet, black licorice, candied blackberry and cassis. These Rhône blends can be bruising at a young age, but this was opened 24hrs prior with 1hr open and then re-corked over night...worked well.

Nov 7th, 2018This is a beast of a wine. 8hrs of air and still strong on the tannin. Love the big classy fruit here and it's balanced for a high octane style, but do yourself a favor and let these chill for 3-4 yrs.
