I get this wet, lush nose of blackberry compote, slight hint of citrus rind and maduro cigar. Juicy mouthfeel from the medium plus acidity. Great tension that holds through the entire sip revealing dense and chewy elements of mocha, leather and nuance of coffee. Black creamed fruit hits the back of the palate with a lingering finish of smoke and red licorice. 2 hour decant is a must.

This is a big one at 15.9% ABV. The fruit is fully integrated and just showing perfectly. Dark fruit, cassis. Still years ahead, but, alas, last bottle.
