This does not skimp on the sensory vectors. Big nose has kirsch, overripe raspberry, rhubarb, warm smoky gravel. The first whack in the mouth is large and savory, with roasted asparagus and herbs, and fire pit notes a bit reminiscent of Walla Walla. Nice job.

Apr 19th, 2020Okay this wine produced one of those stories you tell around the wine geek campfire -- opened the bottle, it tasted overly bitter... bordering on tainted and undrinkable . But patience won out: I kept the bottle open for a couple days and then went in for seconds -- lo and behold, a decent fruit-forward and caramel-y Grenache appeared on the other end. Wine is weird.
