Moulin a Vent Gamay
Moulin-à-Vent, Beaujolais, Burgundy, France

Medium body juicy gamay with red berry and cherry flavors. Good acidity and a touch of minerality. Nice with a light chill. I enjoyed it more on day 2.

Delectable: this is the"Terres Roses" cuvée.
[These are night 2 notes]. Very pure nose of clear-eyed crunchy ripe Gamay fruit and loads of slightly-smoke inflected cracked granite minerality. Lively and pure in the mouth. Not as tough as many Moulin-a-Vents. Some very fine-grained tannin in the long refreshing finish.

Reddish dark candied berries quickly turns to dirty granite with a little time in the glass. A rosy nose is there, but wish it was a bit more aromatic. This is way too easy to drink. (Garagiste selection)

Jan 24th, 2017Dark ruby, dark cherry nose with hints of earth, big black pepper streak on the attack, minerality, good acid, well done. Nice bottle of Cru Beaujolais.

Drinking '15 makes this wine stand out. Rose petals on the nose it carries with pleasant one-note of a very composed grape juice. No harshness just refreshing lightness. Young strawberry on the finish. Wondering if it will become more mature with age

After not bothering with Beaujolais for over 20 years, I am dipping a toe back in the water. This straightforward effort is restrained and structured. Well rounded fruit makes up for what it may lack in length and complexity. Dry, but not overly so. More like a simple burgundy than a southern wine. Hints of wet stone and a slight strawberry flavor.

Juiciness that broadened with air. Crushable.

Excellent. Even better the second day. This one has potential to age
