Counterpoint Sonoma Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

Coffee, deep red fruit, slight hint of licorice. Beautifully blended tannins.

This has developed remarkably well. Cedar, leather, and evolved fruit on the nose. From a tannic vintage and still quite structured.

Blackberry, raspberry, plum, vanilla, licorice, mossy earth, oak and eucalyptus. Excellent structure and moderate tannins.

Had this with dinner for my birthday. First cab from Sonoma Mountain I've had, and the wines that come,from this small place are age worthy and large. Cedar and florals on the nose and black tea. The pallet is lean, and tightly knit, dark purple and exhibiting notes of black plum, currant, tobacco leaf, and licorice, with a lingering finish and chewy tannins. It was definitely a wine in need of time, and made a great cabernet to pair with dinner.

Ripe extracted bold dark fruit. All of it. Some other fig, plum, licorice, and other secondary flavors as well.

Plums, raspberries on nose... ripe currant licorice and smoky oak finish on palate. Great wine for price!!.

Grew on me......let it open

Power with correct amount of richness and greenness.

I did like it.

Firm a nice wine to close out the Cali trip with.
