Nothing wrong with the wine, big red and blue fruits, coffee and dark cocoa, I think just too much Malbec for my taste.

Tough vintage for sure but this is excellent nonetheless. Light/medium bodied nose that reminds me of dark cherry pinot. Smells fantastic. For a 2011 cab, imagine it's a warmer climate pinot and it rocks.

Best recommendation from storybook mountain winery ever! This was my favorite wine of the day.

Great Bordeaux blend. Jammy fruit with herbaceous notes and plenty of dusty tannins. Definitely a late bloomer and coming into its own right now.

Dark purple presentation. Merlot heavy blend but can definitely feel the presence of the Bordeaux varietals. 2011 was not a blockbuster year but the top winemakers made classic, balanced wines and the team at Larkmead shows that here.

Great legendary Calistoga winery. 2011 vintage not the greatest, but after years in the bottle this was tasty Cab/Merlot blend. Wish i could afford the 2016s.

Big fan of Larkmead and their Firebelle. Solari is worth the higher price point too.
