Maremma Toscana IGT 2007, 14%.
Bottle tasted in December 2014.
This was an earlier version of what then became our 5 grapes signature wine, here a bend of just 3 grapes: Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah.
This bottle was not great, but then again it is important to go back and taste our earlier efforts.
The color was rich, but not as clear and limpid as I would have liked.
Nose and mouth a little "tired", not really unpleasant, just not as rich as it should be.

Dec 15th, 2014Maremma Toscana IGT 2008, 14%. Blend of 5 grapes, aged 18 months in wood, and 18 months in the bottle. Drank in 2014 is perfect: still fresh in the mouth, but round and elegant. 88/100
