And if you’re not sure what lo-fi means, head to Google as it’s a unique term to describe the natural / minimal intervention / sustainable wine movements.
We recently bought some wine online from Lansdowne Vineyard in SA’s Adelaide Hills region and I couldn’t resist adding a bottle of this 2018 Downe-Lo Rosé for $28.
Its made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir grapes 🍇. It may sound a bit weird and wacky but it’s utterly delicious. And it also spends some time in oak too!
In the glass it’s a shimmery orange amber shade. Mouth watering subtle scents of wild strawberries 🍓,oranges 🍊and lemon 🍋 come through. It’s dainty in the mouth too with red berries and crunchy apple acidity. Refreshing and darn smashable if you ask me 😋
We enjoyed it with some 10-hour slow cooked pulled pork burgers 👌👌
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
