A garnet red with mineral, oak and red fruit on the nose. The palate imparts healthy acidity and a soft tannic structure that leads into red cherry and a delightful, crisp finish. The texture is smooth but not creamy. As with most merlots however it does feel somewhat muted and lacks the depth of other varietals. At least those that I've had. Thus not necessarily a favourite.
