Mother nature dealt our friends at Lamborn a difficult hand recently. Due to the ongoing fires in California, they have lost their 2020 crop of cabernet to smoke taint. Our hearts go out to our family at Lamborn. Please keep our good friends in your thoughts, and in your glass. If you’ve never tasted a Lamborn wine, there has never been a better, or more urgent time to do so. We are stocking up on their premium Howell Mtn cab, and their rosé. Tell em that Ronnie and Anne-Marie sent you 🥰

My brother-in-law made us do it. I tried to snort it, but it didn’t quite work... sniff.
Untypically phenolic for this producer. Maybe we should have let it breathe longer than 10 seconds... all the usual notes of barrel toast, spice box and cassis. We are going to revisit this in an hour.

Celebrating a life event with our favorite cab.

Let me be economical with words... It's immature, but its trajectory is up in a big way. Opulent, tannic mountain fruit, bold tannins and a deft sweetness set the tone. Leave this for 3 years before taking another look.

Super deductive with that fuzzy feeling. Depth of black fruits and a roundness you wouldn't expect with a pop n pour. Also now good luck while watching the World Series out!
