As inexpensive Zinfandel goes, this is pretty good. The initial fruit is slightly jammy, leaning towards red raspberry jam. That it is California Zinfandel is unmistakable in the nose. However the finish rescues this wine and actually makes it pretty decent to drink. The tannins are soft but give nice structure and there is reasonable acidity to boot.

Very nice zin with tortellini dinner. This is one we discovered at the Vancouver wine festival back in February.

Was told that this is a wonderful old vine Zin...the sales person was right! Wonderful balance and I rarely like Zins! My wife even likes it and she dislikes Zins!! Very nice finish on the palette!
