Excellent unoaked chardonnay, From the craftsmanship of Derek Barnett, winemaker. This chardonnay is juicy, with firm acidity, dry and fruity, green apples are the main actor on this fresh, tense chardonnay. Lailey is one of the best winery in Niagara and most certainly in the top 5 in Canada!

Clear, star bright, light gold coloured wine with a green and silver hue. Viscosity is medium and there is no signs of gas or sediment. The wine is clean, youthful, moderate intensity of aromas. Fruit is predominately citric and pomaceous. Mostly lemon, yellow and red apple. The fruit character is ripe. There is some button mushroom and light minerality on the nose. No sign of oak (surprise, surprise).
On the palate, the wine is dry, acid is med +, alcohol is medium. The body is medium. On the palate it mirrors that of the nose however there's some ripe melon here. The wine is out of balance -- alcohol is not well integrated. Complexity is medium and finish is medium plus mostly due to the unbalanced alcohol.
