Celebrating my brother and my nephews over
Variety is Magliocco 100%
In line with the localish trend
Perhaps a bit rustic, but a good mate for an evening
Quite a dark spectrum, not tannic at all, not too fresh either and an interesting hint of licorice on the palate
Decent length

the tartness makes this almost effervescent. Totally awesome. Funky & right.

this was a tasty quaff: juicy, bright, brambly, and spicy. Magliocco and Guernaccia Nera are grapes with which I wasn't familiar.

This might be THE most refreshing red I've ever had not only from southern Italy, but perhaps all of Italy. Like Beaujolais in Calabria-- but with a more intense shimmering berry character, and a chiseled mineral driven tannic structure that feels like chalk on the palate. Incredibly interesting and delicious for the price.

Perfect summer red. Brilliantly quaffable when lightly chilled and given some time with air. Minerals and tart blackberries.
