Excellent for a village wine or this age - could drink this all year! Black cherries, pepper, very Gevrey. Great acidity. Not super-complex but exactly what you want from this bottle!

In phenomenal shape. Minimal ullage at <2cm and great depth of colour. Nose of black plumbs, morello cherries, blackberries, and lightly peppery coeur de beuf tomatoes with a layer of freshly dug black farm soil underpinning the fruit. Still tannic, though it's well integrated, and a poised thread of vibrant acidity running thorough the palate.

Fantastic for a village level wine!
