Had this naughty gentleman in the cupboard for some time; opened it up today for no other reason than it was a beautiful sunny day in London. Slight fizz and initial ciders gave way to cleaner elderflower shimmers, making me feel all Laurie Lee and teary. Been spending too much time on the phone to my mum.

French wine is not dead, for sure. But I had trouble getting past the mid palate on this guy. There's definitely some grapefruit trying to reach out but ultimately not the juice for me.
