The small area of Campi Flegrei is home to very sandy soils and thus resistant to the grapevine louse phylloxera. Vines are able to be planted without rootstock, leading to a unique flavor and pure expression of the terroir. Full of ripe flavors, but with low alcohol, this indigenous grape is easy drinking with soft tannins, bright red fruit and lively herbal notes.
