Viña Arana Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend

A nice midweek sipper. Fuller side of medium bodied with a solid presence of American Oak.

A smooth rioja , full tempranillo and very easy drinking . Less body than yesterday’s post but tasty and just good #nyc #wine

Tart cherries, tobacco, olives, a little orange zest, and vanilla. Tons of acidity w moderate tannins. Graceful and elegant.

A really rich Rioja without hitting you over the head with a barrel stave as Rioja's often can.

Medium ruby just starting to show a very pale tawny rim. So fragrant. Succulent, savory mouth feel. Nicely balanced. Medium body. Soft finish. 100% Tempranillo from the outstanding 2010 vintage. 13.5% alcohol. From the highly respected Spanish winery La Rioja Alta, S.A. I enjoyed it with aged Manchego cheese, membrillo casero (quince paste), and Marcona almonds. Wonderful wine. $20.00

Unbelievable for the price. This would be a 89/90, but at this price point it's a 93.

My favorite Rioja producer! This vintage more acidic than earlier ones but still so good
