Second stop in Sonoma with Andrew Berge of Spell Estate, La Pitchoune and Tiny House to name a few. Next white from La Pitchoune is their Sonoma Coast Chardonnay which from the Pratt, Dutton Sullivan and Bootlegger vineyards.

Medium lemon yellow in appearance. Rich nose with brioche and lemon curd. No new oak so aromas definitely come from the malo. Medium acidity (6.5/10) and medium plus body. More going on with the palate compared to the nose with notes of stone and tropical fruits, as well as a bit of minerality. Nicely rounded with a medium plus to long finish. Drink till 2024. $$

Clear medium yellow. Very interesting wine, would have thought it had more than 10% new French oak from how it showed on Day one. Very toasty, buttered pastries, and lemon curd on the attack. Moderate plus acidity (7.5/10) and full bodied with a long finish. A little creamy mouth feel with notes of green apples, light citrus, white floral notes and some stone fruits. Also very warm and toasty feeling throughout that simmers down as it breathes. Makes you want to cuddle up in front of the fire. Day two added more complexity with stronger citrus notes and solid minerality. Seemed a little more Burgundian on day two and we love that. Drink till 2023.
