Very well done. Has a sense of place, as opposed to many of the cab clones hailing from Napa today.

This wasn’t up to it’s usual standard tonight. Still very enjoyable, tho...

“Leaving this to rest for a couple of years” were my words from my last tasting - my ass I am!
Prior notes apply. Loving the tannic structure of this wine. Needs a few more years in the bottle.

Needs time. Not as accessible as the 16 vintage, but still excellent. I’m leaving the rest for a couple of years, at least...

A special and rare example. Not yet released to the public, but the winemaker: @Maayan Koschitzky gifted us this bottle. It’s a clone of the 16 vintage. A beauty that will cellar for a couple of decades, at least. Needs no food - it’s a meal all on its own. Nose has a perfume similar to a reduction, with soft balsamic notes. Palate displays espresso and maple syrup. Focused acidity acts as the backbone for what is an outstanding effort. We expect this to further improve with age.

Elegant, layered, complex, pure finesse. Decant for 2 hours or more if drinking now - it will really open up. 2017 vintage on Sep 27, 2019
