Initial notes on this wine when I tasted upon release was the tannins needed time. 16 years later this wine showed wonderfully. Fruit was well developed & tannins were mellow. Loved it!

Advanced Bordeaux: Further Exploring the Two Banks Class
This wine is definitely starting to show age. It is still fairly tannic, with a rustic grip on the mouth, and it feels gritty on the palate. Notes of forest floor, plum and earth are present.
