I had originally ordered a Chianti, but the waiter suggested this Sangiovese instead. Paired with a meatball in red sauce appetizer, fried calamari and a Neapolitan pizza, this medium bodied wine was rustic with a cherry-tart flavor. It was the perfect accompaniment to our dinner!

Put it up against any $60 brunello. Had with pizza and gnocchi - what a treat. Berry's and Tobacco make for a wonderfully complex taste and smell. Anyone who loves a deep brunello should be on board.
