[90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc] This is decidedly less ripe than the Lalande de Pomerol (13.5% ABV vs 14.5% ABV), but has nice minerality, very good balance, medium-long finish, solid Grand Cru St. Emilion!!

Color of purple with some mix of burgundy. Nice legs. Nose of sweet dark cherry, hickory, currants, leather, sweet strawberry jam. Nose is a sweet bomb. Taste is drier yet follows the nose, with addition of solid and refined tannins, zest, some more bittersweet and peppery, with hidden yet balancing acidity. Clean and tasty. Aftertaste shows some more fresh grape and mineral note. Good one.
